Filipe é apicultor no Alentejo. Tem cinquenta colmeias na sua quinta perto de Évora e produz mel de excelente qualidade. Durante anos, vendeu o mel apenas aos vizinhos e amigos. Mas no ano passado decidiu começar a vender no mercado local de Évora aos sábados.
Filipe is a beekeeper in the Alentejo. He has fifty beehives on his farm near Évora and produces excellent quality honey. For years, he sold honey only to neighbours and friends. But last year he decided to start selling at the local Évora market on Saturdays.
Filipe também faz compotas de figo, laranja e abóbora. A mulher, Teresa, ajuda-o a preparar os frascos e a criar as etiquetas. No primeiro sábado que foram ao mercado, levaram trinta frascos de mel e vinte de compota. Venderam tudo antes do meio-dia.
