O que Diz o Nuno?

Nuno trabalha numa rádio local em Lisboa. Todos os dias fala ao microfone e diz muitas coisas: diz as notícias, diz a temperatura, diz os nomes das músicas. As pessoas ouvem a voz do Nuno e dizem: "Que voz bonita!" Nuno sorri — no trabalho, dizer coisas é fácil.

Nuno works at a local radio station in Lisbon. Every day he speaks into the microphone and says many things: he says the news, the temperature, the names of the songs. People hear Nuno's voice and say: "What a beautiful voice!" Nuno smiles — at work, saying things is easy.

Em casa, é diferente. A namorada, Sara, diz que Nuno não fala muito. "Nunca dizes o que sentes", diz ela. "Digo, sim", diz Nuno. "Digo 'bom dia', 'boa noite', 'obrigado'." "Isso não conta", diz Sara. "Quero que digas o que pensas de verdade."

At home, it's different. His girlfriend Sara says Nuno doesn't talk much. "You never say what you feel," she says. "I do," says Nuno. "I say 'good morning', 'good night', 'thank you'." "That doesn't count," says Sara. "I want you to say what you really think."

Nuno pensa. É verdade — no trabalho diz tudo, em casa diz pouco. Naquela noite, diz à Sara: "Digo muitas coisas no trabalho porque é o meu emprego. Mas o que digo em casa é mais importante. E o que quero dizer agora é: gosto muito de ti." Sara ri. "Isso sim. Assim está melhor."

Nuno thinks. It's true — at work he says everything, at home he says little. That night, he says to Sara: "I say many things at work because it's my job. But what I say at home is more important. And what I want to say now is: I really like you." Sara laughs. "Now that's better."
