No Mercado

Daniela vai ao Mercado de Campo de Ourique ao sábado de manhã. Compra sempre fruta e legumes aqui. "Compro aqui porque é fresco e mais barato." Hoje compra laranjas, maçãs e tomates. O vendedor pergunta: "Compra cenouras hoje?"

Daniela goes to Campo de Ourique Market on Saturday morning. She always buys fruit and vegetables here. "I buy here because it's fresh and cheaper." Today she buys oranges, apples and tomatoes. The vendor asks: "Are you buying carrots today?"

"Sim, compro meio quilo de cenouras." Daniela olha para as ervas. "Quanto custa o coentro?" "Um euro." "Compro dois molhos." Daniela paga. "Comprei tudo o que precisava", diz ela, satisfeita. "A minha mãe comprava sempre aqui também."

"Yes, I'll buy half a kilo of carrots." Daniela looks at the herbs. "How much is the coriander?" "One euro." "I'll buy two bunches." Daniela pays. "I've bought everything I needed," she says, satisfied. "My mother always used to buy here too."
