Óbidos é uma vila medieval que parece ter saído diretamente de um livro de contos de fadas. Rodeada por altas muralhas de pedra, a vila preserva o charme de outros tempos com as suas casas brancas decoradas com faixas azuis e amarelas. Foi aqui que o Pedro decidiu passar o seu fim de semana, com o objetivo de descobrir mais sobre a cultura local e, sobretudo, sobre a famosa 'Ginja de Óbidos'. Pedro sempre foi um entusiasta de gastronomia e sabia que para compreender verdadeiramente um lugar, é necessário provar os seus sabores mais tradicionais e conhecer as mãos de quem os produz.

Óbidos is a medieval village that seems to have come straight out of a fairy tale book. Surrounded by high stone walls, the village preserves the charm of other times with its white houses decorated with blue and yellow stripes. It was here that Pedro decided to spend his weekend, with the goal of discovering more about local culture and, above all, about the famous 'Ginja de Óbidos'. Pedro had always been a gastronomy enthusiast and knew that to truly understand a place, it is necessary to taste its most traditional flavors and meet the hands of those who produce them.

Ao entrar pela porta principal da vila, Pedro ficou imediatamente impressionado com a beleza dos azulejos que decoram o teto da entrada. Caminhar pelas ruas estreitas e calcetadas é um convite para descobrir pequenos tesouros em cada esquina. As varandas estão cheias de flores coloridas e o ar tem um perfume doce que vem das muitas lojas de artesanato. Óbidos é conhecida como a 'Vila das Rainhas', pois foi oferecida pelo rei D. Dinis à rainha Santa Isabel como presente de casamento no século XIII. Essa herança real ainda se sente na elegância e no cuidado com que a vila é preservada.

Entering through the main gate of the village, Pedro was immediately impressed by the beauty of the tiles decorating the entrance ceiling. Walking through the narrow, cobbled streets is an invitation to discover small treasures at every corner. The balconies are full of colorful flowers and the air has a sweet perfume coming from the many craft shops. Óbidos is known as the 'Village of the Queens', as it was offered by King D. Dinis to Queen Saint Isabel as a wedding gift in the 13th century. This royal heritage is still felt in the elegance and care with which the village is preserved.
