Rui Pais is a photographer and works as a freelancer for several Lisbon magazines. On Monday morning, while photographing the trams on Rua da Conceição, he notices a man in a grey coat standing watching him. He does not think much of it. On Tuesday, the same man appears near his studio in Intendente. On Wednesday, he sees him again — this time at the Campo de Ourique Market.

Rui começa a ficar paranoico.

Rui begins to feel paranoid. He has the feeling that he is being systematically followed. He changes his usual routes. He starts secretly photographing the man with his phone. He speaks to his girlfriend: "There's a guy following me. I don't know who he is." She tells him it is probably a coincidence.
