A Minha Playlist

Matilde e Tomás são colegas de turma no décimo ano. "Que música ouves?" pergunta Matilde. "Ouço muito rap português. E tu?" "Ouço pop e indie. Também ouço um pouco de fado moderno." Tomás fica surpreendido. "Fado? É para os avós!"

Matilde and Tomás are classmates in Year 10. "What music do you listen to?" asks Matilde. "I listen to a lot of Portuguese rap. And you?" "I listen to pop and indie. I also listen to some modern fado." Tomás is surprised. "Fado? That's for grandparents!"

"Não é verdade! Os Dino d'Santiago e a Carminho são modernos e fazem fado." Matilde mostra-lhe a playlist no telemóvel. Tomás ouve um pouco. "Hm... não é mau. Ouço a voz e é muito boa." Matilde sorri. "Vês? O fado pode ser fixe!"

"That's not true! Dino d'Santiago and Carminho are modern and do fado." Matilde shows him the playlist on her phone. Tomás listens a little. "Hm... it's not bad. I listen to the voice and it's really good." Matilde smiles. "See? Fado can be great!"

"O que ouves quando estudas?" pergunta Tomás. "Ouço música instrumental. Ajuda a concentrar." "Eu ouço rap mesmo quando estudo. Os meus pais odeiam!" Os dois riem. Em Portugal, os jovens ouvem muitos estilos de música — do rap ao fado.
