Clara Veio a Sintra

Naquele sábado, Clara veio de Lisboa a Sintra visitar a avó. Veio de comboio, como sempre — todos os meses vinha de propósito para passar o dia com ela. O namorado, Tiago, não veio. "Vou ao futebol", disse ele. Clara veio sozinha.

That Saturday, Clara came from Lisbon to Sintra to visit her grandmother. She came by train, as always — every month she came on purpose to spend the day with her. Her boyfriend Tiago did not come. "I'm going to football," he said. Clara came alone.

Quando chegou, a avó veio à porta. "Clara! Que bom que vieste!" As duas almoçaram juntas e falaram durante horas. Depois do café, a avó disse que os primos de Clara vinham no dia seguinte, de Coimbra. "Vieram de propósito para te ver."
